Patient-131
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient--131 was taken to Sunrise Hospital near death --- he was blue and unable to breathe or move --- but the staff insisted that he stay in the waiting room. He collapsed and the staff told him to get off the ground or they would kick him out. His family took him to a better hospital. Shame on Sunrise Hospital!!
This patient's story is told by his wife.
I will always remember our trip to Sunrise Hospital. Heck, my husband is lucky to still be alive after that experience.
If I could sue them, trust me...we would have.
My husband came into the ER dying --- we're talking blue, unable to breathe, unable to move. The security guard and doctors demanded that he wait in the waiting room.
People were shouting "call the news!!" in horror.
He was finally told that if he didn't get off the ground where he had collapsed due to blood loss, they would kick him out.
Realizing their incompetence was going to kill him, I fled the hospital --- pushing him in a wheelchair with an IV still in his arm, literally within his final moments of life, and desperately called friends to come help.
An unemotional retelling of this story would go like this:
These people are cold, uncompassionate, and treat every patient like a huge inconvenience or even with disgust.
Shame on you, Sunrise Hospital!!
Be cautious, fellow Las Vegans. Drive out of your way to go to Summerlin Hospital (or another hospital) because these bad people could cost you your life.

This is a stock photo of a man who had collapsed on the ground.
If you are not receiving proper medical care at Sunrise Hospital, REMEMBER, you can leave and go to a different hospital --- just like this patient whose family took him to a better hospital.
