Patient-39

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient went to Sunrise Hospital. Had 3 fingers chopped off, blood was septic and had gangrene in his leg. He was left unattended laying in his own fecal matter. He was sent out of the hospital with his wounds wrapped in dirty rags and no discharge instructions.

If I could give Sunrise Hospital a negative rating, I would.

Go to any other hospital but this one. It's horrendous!

I just went to pick up someone as they say he is discharged to go home. First red flag right there, people! The man just had 3 fingers chopped off, blood was septic and has pyoderma gangrenosum in his leg which is a huge open wound.

Not to mention that he has been in the hospital for 30 days, lost 60 pounds, and he is so weak he can't even stand on his own two legs. And they want to release him?!?

As I walked into his room, I see him laying there severely pale and lying in his own fecal matter. LYING in his own FECAL MATTER.

What is wrong with them, lazy ass nurses and team members?

Would you allow your mothers to lay in their own fecal matter?

I had to ask them to clean the poor man.

Then, I ask to speak to the charge nurse, and I was told: "SHE'S TOO BUSY TO SPEAK WITH YOU."

Then let's have a chat with the case manager. Nope. "SHE IS TOO BUSY TO SPEAK WITH YOU!"

This man just had his fingers chopped off, and they have his wounds wrapped in dirty rags.

NO discharge directions.  Nobody to tell us anything let alone how to care for or how to use his mutilated hand.

And the open wound, yep, still there and no direction with that either.

What the RN on duty said, "We've done all we can!"

Please do yourself a favor --- NEVER take anyone you care about to this hospital! Nurses, staff - totally useless and heartless.

I had to literally take this man from this hospital and over to a different hospital for care. After I told the new ER doctor of the treatment both of us received at Sunrise Hospital, they apologized and said, "We're not shocked!"

Patient at Sunrise Hospital had sepsis and gangrene and they discharged him

A man was in Sunrise Hospital with sepsis and gangrene, and they discharged him --- with his bloody, injured hands wrapped in dirty rags and with no discharge instructions.

This is another case of unsafe discharge by Sunrise Hospital.

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
