Patient-366 went to Sunrise Hospital.

Patient's daughter posted this information:

My mom and her husband, Rich, went to Las Vegas on vacation.

My mother ended up in the hospital on August 31, 2026, due to severe abdominal pain.

The hospital that Emergency personnel brought her to (SUNRISE HOSPITAL) left her sitting in a chair in the hallway screaming in severe pain for 6 hours.

They did NOT give her pain meds or do anything to get her comfortable.

After 6 hours of being left in the hallway, they finally brought her up to a room and got her a bed.

They (finally examined her and) found she had a leak in her pancreas that was causing infection in her body. It started to mess with the rest of her organs and caused them to shut down and not cooperate properly.

Her kidneys, liver and lungs all were going downhill.

They put mom on dialysis for her kidneys and put her on oxygen for her lungs.

They gave her antibiotics, but that did NOT help.

The week of September 14, she was on the edge of getting out of the hospital and being able to come home with 3+ months on dialysis.

They had her doing PT and everything --- getting her flight ready to head home!!

Within a few days, they now say that she has 24 hours to live, so she was moved BACK to the ICU.

She has pancreatic fluid spots in her body still (from it leaking and not being addressed), and the rest of her organs were shutting down, and they said there was nothing more they could do.

Her blood pressure wasn't even giving a reading, so that was way too low to even detect anything.

Her heart rate was high due to it being over-worked because of her failing organs. Her lungs were building up fluid and slowly drowning her.

My three brothers and I all gathered and made the absolute hardest decision in all of our entire lives and that was to put mom first and our feelings last.

We made the decision to let her go peacefully, so she didn't have to suffer anymore and to let her go on her own timing..

They unhooked the life support and took the breathing tube out of her throat at 1:14 p.m. Las Vegas time (4:14 p.m. Michigan time), and she entered the gates to heaven into my grandpa's arms at 1:16 p.m. Las Vegas time (4:16 p.m. Michigan time).

Now we have to afford to get her cremated and home to Michigan where she belongs!!

A few days before her mother's death, her daughter posted this comment:
