Patient-210
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-210 went to Sunrise Hospital. No medical care after 4 hours, so the patient left with the IV still in his arm. He had to pull out his own IV and was bleeding all over the floor. No response from Sunrise Hospital after 6 phone calls (and several messages) to the customer service number.
The worst experience ever.
I went to the Emergency Room (ER) at Sunrise Hospital.
They took me straight away to the back
However, 4 hours later, I was still waiting to see a doctor.
The nurse told me it was because someone died and the doctor was busy.
Who would say that???
I left in frustration with the IV still in tact and bled all over the entrance when I took it out.
By the way, no answer at the number Sunrise Hospital provided in their response after over 6 tries plus messaging.

This photo introduces a video where a doctor shows you how to remove your own IV drip. Watch the video.
REMINDER: You can choose to leave a hospital. Just ask for the AMA form (AMA means "against medical advice.") Comments posted on review websites have stated that Sunrise Hospital will try to force you to stay using scare tactics such as telling you that insurance won't pay if you leave. If you are not getting proper medical care or are being harmed or threatened, YOU CAN LEAVE SUNRISE HOSPITAL and go to a better hospital (or go to your primary care doctor or urgent care, depending on your medical situation).
