No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-243 went to Sunrise Hospital. Horrible experience. Terrible response times, no empathy, and a "whatever attitude." The nurse would NOT allow hospice to talk to the family and sent the hospice worker away without notifying the family. The patient went home and died 4 days later.

The patient died 4 days after leaving Sunrise Hospital, so here are her son's comments:
The experience we had with the day nurse on Saturday, March 29, 2025, was atrocious!!
She had no empathy at all toward my mother, Eva Harrington.
Terrible response times and a whatever attitude made the whole situation more stressful for our family and my mother.
When the hospice representative was asked to come to the room to meet with the family to answer questions and help explain what hospice is and guide us on the steps needed to proceed if we decided to go with hospice, the nurse REFUSED HER ADMITTANCE AND SENT HER AWAY without notifying the family.
This resulted in a confrontation with the nurse.
At that point, all we wanted to do was to get my mother out of there by any and all means possible.
Several of the other nurses we spoke with afterwards were taken aback by the attitude of that nurse.
In addition, It seemed the nurse's aide was trying her best to compensate for the terrible behavior of the nurse.
