No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-76 was at Sunrise Hospital for 27 days for two major surgeries. She only saw the surgeon on the day of surgery. Staff was rude and left her waiting for long periods of time. Patient was not bathed for the entire stay (nearly 30 days).
My mother spent 27 days in this hospital. Two major back surgeries.
She didn't get to see her surgeon except the day of surgery!
Most of the staff were rude except for a couple nurses.
If you rang for the nurse expect to wait an hour.
The PT (Physical Therapy) staff did very little to help.
My mother barely ate in the hospital but she gained 40 lbs of water weight!!
She was never put on lasix or anything to reduce the fluid retention.
She wasn't on oxygen before the hospital.
She also didn't get a bath or have her hair combed for nearly 30 days.
Thank God she left the hospital yesterday --- unfortunately on oxygen with a large decubitus ulcer on her spine from lack of movement.
I'm just glad they finally released her before she died there!
This hospital is a very dark place stay far far away!

Protect yourself. Just say NO if you are being mistreated or harassed at Sunrise Hospital. REMEMBER, you can leave and go to a better hospital.
