Patient-309
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-309 went to Sunrise Hospital. Negligence. Refused to dialyze the patient. Catheter was infected, but they waited 2 days before removing it. She was given incorrect medication. They made her wait several more days before placing a new catheter --- as the patient became weak and nauseous.

Here is the story posted by her grandmother:
My 37-year-old granddaughter was admitted to Sunrise Hospital on February 22 for a low grade fever suggested by Davita dialysis after refusing to dialyze her.
Her catheter was infected which caused MSR blood infection.
She was dialyzed through the same catheter on Tuesday while still infected because the dialysis nurse was unsuccessful in using the graph on her leg.
The catheter was removed on Wednesday.
Her blood work returned negative for infection on Saturday.
She was on NPO Thursday and Friday.
By Saturday, she was scheduled to have a new catheter put in her chest. I spoke to the nurse twice, and she assured me they would have a new catheter put in her chest late Saturday evening.
They gave my granddaughter medication for high potassium and medication for blood sugar. She is NOT diabetic.
She became weak, nauseous and extremely hungry.
By 7 p.m, the nurse informed her she would NOT be getting the catheter put in because the staff had left for the day.
Still, she has not been dialyzed (she had been waiting for 6 days).

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
