Patient-96
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-96 went to Sunrise Hospital and noticed multiple HIPAA violations. He was left on a gurney for 10 hours (after being in a shared room with multiple patients). He was never seen by a doctor and received no medical care, so he signed an AMA form and left the hospital.
Sunrise Hospital is definitely one hospital you don’t want to go to if you are going to the ER for any type of surgery or extensive treatment.
This place is a walking HIPAA violation.
When you first arrive, you are put into a “shared room” where there is only a small partition wall separating you and another patient, so they are able to hear all of your information.
Then I was placed into a hallway for 10 hours on a gurney bed where everyone can hear all information.
I ended up signing a AMA just to leave since I was never seen by anyone.
I overheard a nurse say that some patients have been waiting 10+ days in that hallway just to be seen.
I understand that it is one of the busiest hospitals in Las Vegas, but this is still unacceptable.

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
