Patient-304
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-304 went to Sunrise Hospital with severe abdominal pain. Patient was discharged after only 30 minutes. She came back 3 more times and received the same lack of care and quick discharge. Patient says Sunrise Hospital lacks the empathy, communication and patient-centered care that every Emergency Room should provide.
She does NOT recommend Sunrise Hospital to anyone seeking thoughtful or effective emergency care.

If I could give less than one star, I would.
My recent experiences at Sunrise Hospital have been deeply troubling.
I arrived with severe abdominal pain.
I was quickly given a CAT scan and medicated with benzodiazepines (medicines that slow down activity in your brain and nervous system, and they’re commonly used for anxiety, seizures, and insomnia),
Why did they give me this medication? I was there for abdominal pain.
Then I was observed for barely 30 minutes before being discharged --- despite still feeling unwell and having unresolved symptoms.
I returned 3 more times that weekend (Saturday, Sunday morning, and again Sunday night).
Each visit followed the same pattern --- more benzos, minimal examination, and being sent home.
I began to feel more like a number than a patient.
The staff's tone and body language made me feel like I was being profiled.
Sunrise Hospital may be one of the largest hospitals in Las Vegas, but in my experience, it lacks the empathy, communication and patient-centered care that every Emergency Room should provide.
Patients deserve to be treated like people --- not inconveniences to be quickly cleared out.
I would NOT recommend this hospital to anyone seeking thoughtful or effective emergency care.
