Patient-133
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient--133 went to Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center with a broken wrist in a splint. She was supposed to receive a cast, but the staff manhandled her and gave up because they could not get the job done. Very painful. No pain meds or other medical care was provided.

Here is the patient's story:
After dealing with a hostile receptionist who repeatedly asked me the same questions and became upset when I asked to use something other than my phone for the inbound paperwork. (My arm was in a splint.)
The receptionist/information gatherer was condescending and rude.
Upon entering the room to get my cast, the doctor told me they did NOT accept my insurance.
The doctor sent in a small gentleman to apply my cast.
The employee proceeded to manhandle my wrist and rejected my comments about my pain level. My pinky is broken in half, and he was manhandling my wrist. He was basically telling me that this was normal. No, it is not.
No pain pills, shots, or gels were administered for the pain. Nothing.
The small gentleman then became upset, stormed out, and asked for help stabilizing my wrist.
He brought in a woman who attempted to help him, but the pain was too much. I told him to stop forcing it.
They stormed out, upset, saying, "We can't do this."
This experience felt like abuse and harassment.

Protect yourself. Just say NO if you are being mistreated at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center. REMEMBER, you can leave and go to a better medical office.
Note to readers: Nevada Orthopedic has signs posted throughout their office saying that only patients are allowed in the exam room. (See the picture on the page about Nevada Orthopedic.) This story is another example of why that policy is bad for patients.
