Patient-180

Patient-180 went to Sunrise Hospital. Worst hospital ever. Incompetence, lies, no medical care, no medical advice. Doctors were rude and arrogant. The patient felt like a prisoner. After 4 days with no care, the patient walked out and says "NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE."

Here are the patient's comments:

In all my years in the medical office management system, I was shocked by the incompetence and careless people. No stars.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! This is the worst hospital I have ever seen.

The management is completely useless and incompetent. I feel horrible for the nurses that have to work there. Understaffed and overwhelmed. No support.

There was one nurse who logged in my charts that I refused medication which was absolutely NOT TRUE!!!. I repeatedly requested the meds. I was told they would look into it. Nothing happened. No meds.

I asked for a patient case manager and was told that they don't work on the weekends. Then on Sunday morning, a patient case worker with the words on the back of her jacket said "Patient Case Worker " walked past me as she was leaving another patient's room. I stood there with my jaw on the floor as she walked by.

They lied to me. Again!

I called and asked for the hospital supervision and was promptly sent to a nurse on the floor. Not a supervisor of the hospital.

I repeatedly asked to see the doctor about the test results. No response.

I asked what is the plan from here. Nothing.

They just stopped treating us.

We asked for water for 2 days. Nothing.

Asked for meds. Nothing.

Asked for answers. Nothing.

We asked for doctors for 4 days. Nothing.

I felt like I was a prisoner, a hostage.

I asked them to discharge me if they were not going to treat me. They refused. They wanted me to sign an AMA (when a patient asks to leave "against medical advice"). I said, "What advice?" 

I have not received any advice from the doctor yet. It goes on and on for 4 days.

Many times I went to personally get a staff member. The halls were empty.

Some of the doctors are rude and arrogant. Literally told me they don't have time to answer my questions because they have more important patients to see.

I have never seen an establishment so horrible and unsafe. I walked out ---- without care and without answers.
