Patient-111
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient--111 went to Dr. Ronald Hillock for leg lengthening surgery. The surgery was a disaster, with numerous complications and a failed attempt to repair the damage. Dr. Hillock responded with aggression, claiming the failed outcome was normal. Patient had to find a new surgeon to fix the problems.
**Review of Dr. Ronald Hillock** DO NOT GO HERE FOR LEG LENGTHENING SURGERIES.
At 25, I trusted Dr. Ronald Hillock to perform a leg lengthening surgery that he deemed “medically necessary.”
I initially sought an orthopedic insert based on lifelong physician recommendations, but Dr. Hillock insisted that surgery was essential for my health.
Unfortunately, the surgery was a disaster.
Dr. Hillock achieved less than an inch of length, leaving me severely disabled. His approach ignored my extensive medical history, which should have guided a different course of treatment.
I’m now forced to undergo a second surgery with alternative methods to correct the 2+ inches he missed and repair the bone damage caused by his initial procedure.
Throughout the process, I experienced numerous complications that extended my recovery time to over a year. Dr. Hillock eventually had to partially remove the lengthening device, but when the surgery failed to equalize my hips, he dismissed my concerns, claiming this outcome was “normal.”
Despite cutting my leg in half, he told me I’d still need an orthopedic insert—exactly what I initially sought to avoid surgery.
Attempts to discuss these issues with Dr. Hillock were met with dismissal and, eventually, aggression.
His assistant warned me that no other doctor would take on my case, pressuring me to accept his word despite clear failures in my care.
Ultimately, I had to find another surgeon to remove the unknown hardware he had implanted.
The consequences of Dr. Hillock’s treatment have dramatically altered my life. I am now preparing for a second leg lengthening surgery in hopes of repairing some of the damage.
I strongly urge anyone considering treatment with Dr. Hillock to reconsider.
My experience has shown that the Hippocratic Oath was not followed, and I believe he prolonged my treatment to avoid litigation.
