Patient-56

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-56 is a story about a father and daughter who were in Sunrise Hospital on two different dates in 2025. Same lack of medical care. Only seen by nurses, no doctors. No compassion and no medical advice given. Both patients signed an AMA form and left.

Sunrise Hospital is a joke. No doctors ever come to the room. Only nurse practitioners and they don't know what they are doing.

They want the patients to stay in the room, pumping them with medications that are not even necessary.

They wait for someone to die before paying attention. Even then, they show no bedside compassion.

Everything is based on what the insurance will cover, rather than really treating the patient.

Healthcare failure clearly exhibited at this hospital.

My daughter was in Sunrise Hospital in May, and my father had been there too.

Doctors never showed up. No medical advice ever given.

In both cases, we discharged them by signing the AMA form.

We need better doctors and hospitals that truly care about patients rather than hiking up their hospital stay for the insurance money.

Very disappointing!!

Sunrise Hospital. Father and daughter chose to leave Sunrise Hospital due to lack of medical care.

This is a stock photo of a man choosing to sign an AMA form and leave the hospital. You have the right to make that choice.

REMINDER: You can choose to leave a hospital. Just ask for the AMA form (AMA means "against medical advice.") Comments posted on review websites have stated that Sunrise Hospital will try to force you to stay using scare tactics such as telling you that insurance won't pay if you leave. If you are not getting proper medical care or are being harmed or threatened, YOU CAN LEAVE SUNRISE HOSPITAL and go to a better hospital (or go to your primary care doctor or urgent care, depending on your medical situation).

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
