Patient-272
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-272 went to Sunrise Hospital. Absolute worst experience of my life. They left him in the hallway for 17 hours. No food or water. HIPAA violations. Patient is a 30-year veteran who served in 3 wars and has been through field hospitals. Sunrise Hospital lied to the VA hospital when they said they had a bed available for me.
The absolute worst experience in my life time.
I am a 30-year veteran, having deployed in three wars, and I have been through field hospitals. This hospital was the worst experience.
First they lied to the VA North Pecos Main Hospital by saying they had a bed for me, but when I got there --- they did NOT have a bed.
They put me in a hallway and left me there for 17 hours straight.
No food.
No water.
All I heard all night was screaming from other patients left in the hallway.
Then they had a floor cleaner come by weaving around all the beds in the hallway.
At one point, my HIPAA PHI was violated by a doctor who just blurted out in the hallway for all other patients could overhear my personal condition.
I could go on and on, but I just can’t take reliving the experience.
Absolute worst experience of my life.

Patient is a 30-year veteran who served in 3 wars and has been through field hospitals (so it says a lot when he says Sunrise Hospital is the absolute worst experience of his life).
When the VA hospital contacted Sunrise Hospital and asked if they had a bed for the patient, Sunrise Hospital lied and said they had a bed available (but they did not).
