Patient-235
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-235 went to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance which is very far from his home. Did they have an agenda for bringing him to Sunrise Hospital? Awful place. Waiting room is filthy. Security guards threatened to take my phone if I took one more picture. Communication with the doctors at Sunrise Hospital is a tiny bit less convenient than having dead people renovate your kitchen through the use of a ouija board!!!

It's a city hospital ER (Emergency Room), but even for that, the security guards are mostly awful.
Today, a security guard was shouting HIPAA violation at me in an attempt to seize my phone and delete my pictures of the ambulance that brought my husband here just now.
I'm wondering if the ambulance company had an agenda in bringing us here. It's a 6 times longer drive than the nearest hospital, and there are many other choices.
The ER has gotten him into testing quickly, but they did not mask him even though he reported that he tested positive for COVID recently.
The waiting room is filthy.
I have been told that if I take one more picture, my phone will be confiscated.
This doesn't feel like the USA of my youth.
Update: He's in a room now.
I fed the cats and came back. When I dropped that car at valet, there was a bit of confusion. My husband had (allegedly) tested positive for COVID while I was gone. Now the valet didn't want to take the car if it had been exposed to him.
I took the valet ticket and moved to the next checkpoint --- the security search.
Then a long wait in line to check in for a new sticker "guest pass."
Eventually, I was in the elevator on the way up to his room.
This hospital is a ridiculously long way from our apartment, and that a hardship.
Communication with the doctors here is a tiny bit less convenient than having dead people renovate your kitchen through the use of a ouija board.
Pretty awful place.
