Patient-105

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-105 was at Sunrise Hospital. He was not given a room or a bed and was in an area with 20 other patients in recliners. Not receiving regular medications. Food is ice cold.

Do NOT get “admitted” here!!

Been here since Wednesday noon.

No room, no bed, 20 other patients in recliners - worse than a squad bay!

I can’t even recline mine!

Lights and TV are on 24/7 (not that I can see it from my recliner).

Not getting regular meds - why ask me?

No pain meds. They act like regular strength Tylenol is Dilaudid.

Food is ice cold.

If going AMA didn’t mean insurance wouldn’t pay, I would have left hours ago.

Note to readers: See the note in the next column regarding the scare tactics that Sunrise Hospital uses to try to force people to stay.

They tried to give me meds that I can’t take with Hashimoto’s disease.

They did finger sticks until I refused. I am not and have never been diabetic.

Don’t get "admitted” here!! (You will only be "admitted" to sit in a recliner with 20 other people in one room.)

This is a stock photo of a crowded emergency room. Patient-105 describes being in one room with 20 patients in recliners (no beds or private rooms).

REMINDER: You can choose to leave a hospital. Just ask for the AMA form (AMA means "against medical advice.") Comments posted on review websites have stated that Sunrise Hospital will try to force you to stay using scare tactics such as telling you that insurance won't pay if you leave. If you are not getting proper medical care or are being harmed or threatened, YOU CAN LEAVE SUNRISE HOSPITAL and go to a better hospital (or go to your primary care doctor or urgent care, depending on your medical situation).

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
