Patient-153

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-153 went to Sunrise Hospital in severe pain. Received inadequate care and minimal effort to evaluate her. She was given Naproxen even though she had only one kidney. Patient went to a better hospital and learned she had kidney stones, a bladder infection, twisted nerves in her back and a slipped disc.

My visit sucked. The first nurse who came to me tried to talk me into going back home without any help --- even though I came in an ambulance.

They did a CT scan without checking or evaluating me.

After they knew I had only one kidney because of so many kidney stones in the past, they gave me a prescription for Naproxen (which should not have been given considering my medical history).

Three days later, I went to my doctor for a follow-up appointment. He told me to go to the hospital because my blood pressure dropped and I almost passed out.

So, I went to Henderson Hospital and found out I have kidney stones, a bladder infection, twisted nerves in my back, and a slipped disc!!!

Sunrise Hospital only told me that my back muscles were a little swollen.

If I lost my only remaining kidney because Sunrise Hospital gave me Naproxen, the only thing I will be back there for is to give lawsuit paperwork to them!!

I came in with severe back pain and never even got a comfortable chair, let alone a bed!!

Sunrise Hospital, Patient-153, patient with only one kidney should NOT have been given Naproxen
