Patient-218
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-218 went to Sunrise Hospital with hip pain. They found she had two fractures in her hip and told her to get physical therapy. The ER doctor told her to go home and call the hospital to make arrangements. When she called, the hospital would NOT help.
My mother was taken to the Emergency Room at Sunrise Hospital.
It was determined she had two hairline fractures in her hip.
The doctor recommended she go home and get physical therapy. The doctor said to call back to arrange this.
We called Sunrise Hospital and were told they don't do it and couldn't help.
Why would a doctor flat out lie, or are they incompetent?
Never, ever going there.
Mayo Clinic Information on Hip Fractures
A hip fracture is a serious injury, with complications that can be life-threatening. The risk of a hip fracture rises with age.
Risk increases because bones tend to weaken with age. Bone loss caused by age is called osteoporosis.
A hip fracture almost always requires surgical repair or replacement, followed by physical therapy.
Taking steps to maintain bone density and avoid falls can help prevent a hip fracture.
