Patient-155

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-155 went to Sunrise Hospital for trauma care. Lack of professionalism, empathy, respect and common sense. The doctors and nurses need to go back to school. Dr. Rodriguez had a huge ego, gave incorrect information, and put a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) Order in the patient's chart without her consent. When the family learned about it, they had it removed from her record.

You know the reply that Sunrise Hospital gives after each review is a joke!!!

My family and I arrived at Sunrise Hospital due to my sister being taken there to the Trauma Unit.

I have to say very loudly that the lack of professionalism, care, empathy, respect and common sense was absent. They need to go back to school and learn basic common courtesy and respect for the patients and the families.

My sister deserved to be treated with dignity and the best care, yet that did not happen with most of the doctors and nurses.

Certain nurses turned off meds that were not supposed to be turned off, and they felt the need to give us their opinions which were not asked for.

There was no communication between the doctors and nurses. You would expect the doctors and nurses to know about the patient before coming into the room.

One specific doctor --- the floor doctor, Dr. Rodriguez --- walks around the halls with the nurses and his know-it-all ego. He said things about my sister's condition that were flat out a lie. He continued to give his unwelcomed stupid opinion over and over, like a broken record.

The doctor put in orders for a DNR (do not resuscitate) without permission from the patient or the family. When the family learned about it, they had the DNR order removed from the patient's record. This man should be removed as a doctor. It's pretty scary to know that people's lives are in his hands.

And he did that with the family in the room. I could only imagine what he does when nobody is watching.

I gave it ONE star because I could not give it ZERO.

Shame on you Sunrise Hospital. You need to do way better.

CEO and owners, you better listen up and take these words into consideration before you end up with a lawsuit.
