Patient-386
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-386 went to Sunrise Hospital. They tried to kill my husband 3 times!! They gave him high blood pressure medicine even though he has normally low blood pressure. And they overdosed him twice because they gave him the wrong dosage of his medicine even though they were shown the prescription. They would not discharge him and made him stay another day for no good reason. Absolutely the worst hospital experience of my life!!

"Heart patient so let's give him high blood pressure medicine." His blood pressure is normally low!!
The nurse wrote down the wrong dosage --- even after being shown the prescription, so they overdosed him twice.
Then they tried to give him a blood thinner "because that's what we always do."
Two doctors said he could be discharged but did NOT write it down in his chart.
At night, they had a nurse practitioner in charge --- but allegedly she could NOT discharge him.
Nurse practitioners are required to be working under a physician.
Well, she didn't want to, or couldn't, contact said attending physician, so they wanted to keep him until the next day to be discharged.
Keeping him, when he's now perfectly fine, for another 12+ hours, was ridiculous!!!
All because of their incompetence!!
Note to readers: We have heard many patient stories where they were forced to stay in Sunrise Hospital for extra, unnecessary days for no reason or when procedures, tests and surgeries were rescheduled many times. Why do you think Sunrise Hospital has been investigated multiple times for Medicare fraud?

Note to readers: Read about Patient-1 and Patient-140 who were also overdosed at Sunrise Hospital. They killed Patient-1 during surgery because they overdosed her with Fentanyl and Narcan. They overdosed Patient-140 with a tranquilizer.
