Patient-29

Patient went to Sunrise Hospital. He was put in a room in a chair for days with 20 patients and only one bathroom and no shower; the room was referred to as the refugee camp. He left Sunrise Hospital and flew home to get medical care.

This place is horrendous!!!

I was transferred here with a kidney stone. They gave me pain meds, but I sat in a chair for more than 2 days .

They put me in a garage-sized room with 12-20 people. This area was referred to as the refugee camp.

We shared one bathroom and no shower.

Three people walked out because they had been there as long as 5 days.

The hospital staff didn't do anything like giving treatment. They just kept us in the room and kept telling us that we would get treatment which was a lie.

I should have been in for a couple hours, not several days.

I wasn't allowed to eat or drink because I had to be ready for the testing/procedure that hasn't happened for 2+ days and counting.

I will be leaving, whether discharged or not, because flying home will result in quicker treatment.

DO NOT use this hospital under any circumstances.

Even the people without insurance just walked out, which should give you an indication of how bad this place is.

Sunrise Hospital has up to 20 patients in chairs in one inpatient room with only one bathroom and no shower

Sunrise Hospital had up to 20 patients in one room, with patients sitting in chairs, and only one bathroom and no shower.

Some of the patients were left like this for several days, with no medical care. This room was referred to as the refugee camp.

Note: The photo above is a stock photo of a crowded hospital waiting room, but the story provided by  Patient-29 refers to a roomful of patients at Sunrise Hospital who were left in a crowded room, sitting in chairs, for several days with only one bathroom and no shower.

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
