Patient-324
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-324 went to Sunrise Hospital. Staff are non-responsive. Beds are so close together they are practically touching. Horrible smell of urine. Lack of communication. No baths, no pitchers of water, and no communication. Felt like I was in a nightmare that would not end. Patient says "What happens in Vegas should NOT stay in Vegas!! Get the word out!! DO NOT use Sunrise Hospital!!"

This is such a non-responsive hospital!!!
From the patient rep who doesn't give you her last name because she just happens to be out of her cards and can't wait to get off work and says she will check back with you but never does --- to the doctors who never make it to your bedside.
My roommate (the patient who was sharing my room) left AMA (against medical advice) because her doctor had NOT seen her since Monday and this was a Thursday!!
Rooms are so small that your beds are practically touching!!
Smell is horrible!! Old urine smell throughout!!
Staff is international. Very difficult to understand their English. Ask for an interpreter.
No one knows lab results or procedure results and will NOT give them out.
Nurses cannot get a response from the doctors so communication breaks down instantly.
Do NOT go to Sunrise Hospital alone!!!
You must have an advocate at all times!! (This has been mentioned numerous times in patients' stories, and we include this important tip on the home page of this website.)
Food does NOT match the diet ordered. Soft low residue diet is NOT broccoli, turkey sandwich and peas.
You are entering this hospital at a very high risk.
Windows do NOT open and when the smell of your own blood's stench gets to you, instead of bringing a fan, they give you a handheld paper fan.
No baths.
No pitchers of water.
No communication.
I was given medication for a condition I never had.
So scary!!
Felt like I was in a nightmare that would not end!!
Only good thing was that even though my hemoglobin kept dropping, the doctor signed me out. Eternally grateful for that!!
What happens in Vegas should NEVER stay in Vegas!!
Get the word out!!
Do NOT use Sunrise Hospital!!
