No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-282 went to Sunrise Hospital with a urinary tract infection. Patient was in severe pain. It took them 35 1/2 hours to take a urine sample. Then another 5 hours to get an antibiotic. Nurses were negligent and horrible. Be aware and be assertive.
Patient-282 went to Sunrise Hospital with a painful urinary tract infection.
I informed nurses I had a painful UTI (urinary tract infection).
I asked if I could please be tested, ASAP, because the pain was so bad.
It took 35 1/2 hours for them to take my urine sample.
Then it took another 5 hours to be given a "general antibiotic," and the results were not back from the lab.
I was nice when asking to be tested for that 35+ hours, but they did NOTHING.
The pain was so high that the last 5 hours before they finally took my urine sample, I asked for help every hour.
I am shocked they let a patient go this long without any assistance or help.
This is only one example of the bad treatment I received here at Sunrise Hospital.
Some nurses were negligent and horrible.
Be aware and be assertive.
Talk to a higher up nurse if you do not get good or even fair help.
Note to reader: Many other patient stories say the higher up nurses and supervisors will not help.
