Patient-22
A man died after experiencing bad medical care and the typical chaos, confusion and lack of attention at Sunrise Hospital. He was left lying in his own urine, with no food or water for 12-16 hours.
This story was told by the patient's wife in regard to her husband's bad experience and death at Sunrise Hospital in May of 2024.
My husband was transported to Sunrise Hospital after being told he was having a stroke at Valley View Hospital in Fort Mohave, Arizona.
Eight hours after we arrived at Sunrise Hospital, he was transferred to the ICU. Why did it take 8 hours for the doctors to evaluate him and send him to the ICU?
After he got to the ICU, they ran tests, but we were given different information and different answers by each doctor. We could not get a straight answer.
They finally told us to arrange in-home care. so we made those arrangements.
The next morning, they changed their mind again and told us to arrange skilled nursing care, so we did that.
After several days in the ICU, they transferred him to the CCU.
When I arrived the next morning, he was lying in his own urine and had not been given food or water in 12-16 hours.
So, the case worker came in and said he would be discharged that day. What was going on? We had been told to arrange in-home care and then skilled nursing care, and now they were going to discharge him.
Then, another doctor came in and said he should not have been transferred from ICU, so they sent him back to ICU again.
One day later, they moved him to hospice, and he died just 1 and 1/2 days later.
I personally think the hospital killed him.
DO NOT go to Sunrise Hospital.
