Patient-205

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-205 went to Sunrise Hospital with severe chest pains, nausea, dizziness and uncontrollable shaking. Patient was ignored and discharged without medical treatment. Patient went to a better hospital and received proper medical care. Patient says do NOT go to Sunrise Hospital.

I would NOT recommend this hospital to anyone.

You will be ignored or at most will get a pat on your back as they discharge you CARELESSLY with SEVERE TIGHT CHEST PAINS. I don't wish this on anyone. But if you need to seek care in a local Emergency Room (ER) while in Las Vegas, do NOT go to Sunrise Hospital in Medical Center.

I came in with SEVERE TIGHT CHEST PAIN, nausea, dizziness, and uncontrollable shakes. I believe my body was going into shock.

I don't drink alcohol and I don't even consume nicotine.

I had REALLY tight chest pains, and my pulse was significantly high.

I communicated my symptoms, and they also confirmed it per via blood pressure, pulse rate, etc., but I was still discharged.

As I was being discharged, I started to feel worse. I started throwing up in the waiting room, so I notified the same doctor I had seen, letting him know it's getting worse. I already felt horrible when I first walked in there two hours ago and nothing was done but blood pressure and a urine test.

I'm from North Carolina, and I have never been ignored like this in any medical facility --- especially not an ER with me complaining about SEVERE CHEST PAINS.

My chest has never felt tight. I have always been a very healthy individual,  so I was really worried. I communicated how scared I was and was still just ignored.

As we proceeded to discharge, when I communicated that I was feeling worse after I threw up twice while waiting in the discharge waiting room, my physician told me that he will send some nausea medicine to a pharmacy.

I told him that I don't have a pharmacy. As he walks away, he tells me don't forget to pick up the medicine. I was very confused. I've already indicated that I don't have a pharmacy.

I felt more of a 'case that was ready to be closed' rather than a patient whose symptoms are getting worse.

I literally had to leave the Sunrise ER with the IV still in my arm just to see if I can get to the nearest next location of another ER to get the help that I need. And so I did.

When I went to the other hospital about 16 minutes away, my body was still trembling uncontrollably. I was scared to drive once again, but thank God, I made it. I finally got the medical help I needed.

I did not receive medical care at Sunrise Hospital. I have never felt that horrible ever in my life. Nobody should be ignored like that especially when they come in with tight chest pains,, nausea, vomiting, uncontrollable shakes, and dizziness. They just kept telling me to hold on and hold on.

Once again, I got the help that I needed it from a DIFFERENT hospital, and I haven't felt those chest pains since (3 days thus far) being treated at the OTHER hospital.

I would NOT recommend Sunrise Hospital to anyone. You will be ignored or at most will get a pat on your back as they discharge you CARELESSLY with SEVERE TIGHT CHEST PAINS. I don't wish this on anyone.
