Patient-319
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-319 went to Sunrise Hospital. Emergency Room is horrible!! The hospital knows this patient has epilepsy, but they put her in a chair (not on a gurney) knowing she could have a seizure and fall on the floor --- like the last time she was at Sunrise Hospital. The doctors and staff are unprofessional and incompetent. The patient told the ambulance employees NOT to bring her to Sunrise Hospital, but they ignored her request. It took 4 hours to go through the discharge process.

This Emergency Room (ER) is horrible!!
I started off in the ER, and they placed me in a chair knowing that I have seizures.
The nurse was very rude.
She told me "Well, this is all we have right now. There are no rooms available." And she said it with a negative attitude.
As if an epileptic patient wants to sit upright in a chair while experiencing seizures!!!
The last time I was brought here, I had a seizure and ended up on the floor. They lied in my discharge paperwork stating that I did not hit my head.
I told the ambulance to NOT bring me here!!
This is my 2nd time coming here, and each time they are unprofessional and incompetent --- including the doctors and the staff.
It took 4 hours to discharge me --- just for me to have to go downstairs to a discharge lounge where they couldn't do their job.
Only the lady at the front desk was nice.
The women explaining the discharge paperwork didn't know anything.
Dr. Qazi Fozia is NOT recommended. She barely knows English and cannot write a work note with proper grammar to save her life.

Beware!! If your condition is NOT life-threatening, it might be better to have a friend drive you to your hospital of choice.
Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital
Do ambulance drivers have to take you
to your hospital of choice?
To learn how ambulance drivers decide where to take you, go to this link. You can request a specific hospital, but they are not required to honor your request.
The Clark County EMS System Emergency Medical Care Protocols state:
"Stable patients shall be transported to the hospital of their choice; if the patient has no preference, the patient should be transported to the closest facility."
However, this is only a guideline --- it is NOT the law.
Beware!! If your condition is NOT life-threatening, it might be better to have a friend drive you to your hospital of choice.
