Patient-303
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-303 went to Dr. Arthur Taylor at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center for a cyst on her wrist and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Taylor did NOT examine the patient and ignored the test that showed carpal tunnel syndrome. Only gave her an injection. The patient left feeling dismissed and uncared for.
Patient-303 went to Dr. Arthur Taylor at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center
I visited Dr. Taylor for a cyst on my lower left wrist, along with pain in my left hand and fingers.
X-rays were taken and showed arthritis.
I received an injection that relieved the pain for only a few days.
I was also seeing a pain management doctor who ordered an EMG test which showed a severe degree of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dr. Taylor dismissed the results without even examining my hand.
As an 83-year-old patient, I left the appointment feeling dismissed and uncared for.
When I followed up with my pain management doctor, he recommended that I see a hand specialist.
Unfortunately, my referral was for Dr. Arthur Taylor.
I hope my feedback encourages more attention and compassion.
Note to readers: As we have seen in many patient stories, Health Plan of Nevada will only allow orthopedic patients to go to Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center. It is known as a forced or closed choice, and insurance companies should NOT be allowed to do this.

Note to readers:
Read the story of Patient-174 who went to Dr. Arthur Taylor for help with carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Taylor was rude, unfriendly and grumpy and would NOT help the patient. Patient experienced the typical appointment and scheduling problems that are mentioned in many of the patient stories about Nevada Orthopedic.
Read the story of Patient-187 who also went to Dr. Arthur and noticed he was shaking. One of his assistants said Dr. Taylor is in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease.
Also read the story of Patient-223, another patient with carpal tunnel syndrome who received poor medical care from Dr. Arthur Taylor.
