Patient-51

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-51 was in Sunrise Hospital for 2 days. He received no medical care and no treatment for his injuries. He left Sunrise Hospital and went to a different hospital where he received excellent medical care. Do NOT let ambulance drivers force you to go to Sunrise Hospital, and leave if you are not receiving medical care or are being mistreated.

This was absolutely the worst hospital I have ever experienced without any question whatsoever.

Do NOT let an ambulance driver insist on taking you there. I am certain they are bribed to do so rather than going to another reputable hospital. The ambulance drivers surely know what a hell hole they're taking you to.

I was in the hospital for 2 nights and saw two doctors for a total of 10 minutes. No one ever told me what they were doing, what was wrong with me, what tests I had been given or what the test results were.

I spent the night in a room with a man who was yelling and screaming with the TV blaring, and even though I begged them to move me, they refused.

I was badly injured and unable to advocate for myself. My wife saved me and got me out of there. NEVER GO ALONE to Sunrise Hospital.

When I finally checked myself out and flew home, I went to my local emergency room. They immediately took me into triage, evaluated the situation, developed a course of action, administered tests and got the results right away and followed up with appropriate treatment. It took a total of about three hours. Any further delay would have caused potentially dangerous harm.

This is the worst example of a for profit hospital where patient care is a distant second to greed.

This institution needs to be thoroughly examined and evaluated. People's lives are at stake.

The final straw is that the food is straight from the dumpster.

NOTE TO READERS: To learn how ambulance drivers decide where to take you, go to this link. You can request a specific hospital, but they are not required to honor your request.

The Clark County EMS System Emergency Medical Care Protocols state:

"Stable patients shall be transported to the hospital of their choice; if the patient has no preference, the patient should be transported to the closest facility."

However, this is only a guideline --- it is NOT the law.

Beware!! If your condition is NOT life-threatening, it might be better to have a friend drive you to your hospital of choice.

Sunrise Hospital. Stock photo of an ambulance. They do not have to take you to your hospital of choice. Beware.

REMINDER: You can choose to leave a hospital. Just ask for the AMA form (AMA means "against medical advice.") Comments posted on review websites have stated that Sunrise Hospital will try to force you to stay using scare tactics such as telling you that insurance won't pay if you leave. If you are not getting proper medical care or are being harmed or threatened, YOU CAN LEAVE SUNRISE HOSPITAL and go to a better hospital (or go to your primary care doctor or urgent care, depending on your medical situation).

Just say NO to Sunrise Hospital

and DO NOT allow ambulance drivers to

force you to go to Sunrise Hospital
