Patient-86

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-86 is about a patient who had a minor boat mishap and went to Urgent Care. She was then airlifted to Sunrise Hospital for a small flesh wound. They put her through surgery and kept her in the hospital for 4 days.

Sunrise Hospital is the worst.

I feel compelled to leave a comment as my best friend is unable to right now she is very stressed and concerned.

My best friend had a mishap on a boat in Laughlin! She hopped off a boat to get off and her bathing suit got stuck on a hook at the end of the boat. With the boat rocking in the water, it was hitting and bruising her bottom.

She also got a flesh wound a little over an inch long. I saw it up close and personal about 6 times, checking on it. She had a hemorrhoid that was affected and bruising it!

The urgent care doctor at the hospital in Laughlin requested a CT scan. The CT tech who has been a Tech for 35 years said everything looks fine! No Internal bleeding at all.

SO WHY DIDN'T URGENT CARE DOCTOR REMOVE HEMORRHOID, CAUTERIZE IT,  STITCH HER UP, AND SEND HER HOME!!!

He requested her to be airlifted to Sunrise Hospital --- he stated he is on the board of Directors at Sunrise!!! $$$ Wow.

So, here at Sunrise, they requested a probe for her rectum and stomach to check for internal bleeding!!! Why?? A CT was already done.

They stitched her up but not all the way. Why????

They also gave her a Therapist to help her walk the halls??

Why? After the mishap, I took her back to the hotel. She walked by herself to the hotel room, and she showered before taking her to the Urgent Care in Bullhead AZ. I'm sure therapists are $$ .

The mishap happened Saturday. They flew her to Las Vegas Sunrise Hospital on Saturday night.

She had surgery on Sunday about 11:30. THEY KEPT HER UNTIL THURSDAY!!!

Why? For a flesh wound. ITS ALL ABOUT $$.

I had to get back to California myself. I had other people. I drove to Laughlin. We had to get home to jobs and families.

Both the Urgent Care doctor and Sunrise Hospital stated they would pay for an Uber ride to where she needed to go!!!

She ultimately bought a cheap airline ticket home as she felt a 4-hour ride home would be too much on her bottom!! It's a 13-minute ride to the Airport.

They made her pay for a taxi. She couldn't download the Uber App. Wow!!

She is a single mom and is going to be stuck with a huge ginormous bill. She is in on Medicare. They are fighting her already on this incident because that's what insurance companies do.

I feel compelled to report this to the Ethics Committee and Medicare. This hospital just wants to pad the bill!!

They are going to tell me I'm not a doctor, but a flesh wound does not need 4 days in the Hospital. The flight to the other Hospital was not needed either!!!

I would never go to this hospital!!! Shame on all involved!!!!

My opinion I think it's all about $$$.

I have spoke with others about this, and they all stated 4 days for a flesh wound is ridiculous!!!
