No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-284 went to Sunrise Hospital with intense pain. Long wait times. The nurses' treatment was awful, with zero empathy. When a nurse removed my IV, she bent it, causing terrible pain. Another patient was bleeding with a head wound. When she fell to the ground, nobody helped until finally a receptionist came over. Patient DOES NOT recommend Sunrise Hospital.
I can only speak highly of the receptionist at the door, the woman who performed the ultrasound, and the doctor who saw me.
The wait was far too long considering the intense pain I was experiencing.
They sat me in a rigid chair and didn't offer me a bed or even a blanket.
The nurses' treatment was awful. They had zero empathy.
One tried to force me to give a urine sample, even though I couldn't even stand up.
The other nurse, who was there to translate for the doctor, looked at me with disdain and yelled at me to sit properly in the chair so the doctor could examine me.
I was sitting sideways because of the excruciating pain, and I sat there for a long time without any attention or medication to ease the pain.
As I was leaving, the same nurse who had translated for me removed my IV, doing it so reluctantly that she bent it, and it hurt terribly.
Only the ultrasound technician, shortly before I left, offered me a blanket because she realized I was in excruciating pain and freezing cold, and that I was receiving very poor care.
While I was there, another young woman arrived with a bleeding head wound and said she felt unwell, but they ignored her. She ended up collapsing to the floor, and no one rushed to help her. One of the receptionists who was there slowly got up and calmly went to help her up.
In short, I absolutely do NOT recommend the Sunrise Hospital emergency room to anyone.
