Patient-318

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-318 went to Dr. Arthur Taylor at Nevada Orthopedic. Visit lasted only 4 minutes, and Dr. Taylor stood at the door, ready for a quick getaway. Dr. Taylor told the patient he had trigger finger, even though the pain was due to a hard lump in the middle of his palm. He actually asked the patient why he didn't come in sooner if the pain was so bad. This was the earliest appointment he could get from the scheduling person. (This story is another reminder of the scheduling problems at Nevada Orthopedic.)

Patient-318 went to Dr. Arthur Taylor at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center due to a hard knot (lump) his the middle of his hand.

Dr. Taylor did NOT want to answer questions.

He stood at the door, ready for a quick getaway.

Dr. Taylor told the patient it was trigger finger when the finger moved very well, and the problem has never been with the finger.

The problem was NOT the movement of the finger but further down the middle of the palm.

Dr. Taylor provided no explanation of the  hard knot where the pain is located.

The visit lasted 4 minutes.

The most ridiculous question he asked was, "If your injury was 7 weeks ago, why didn't you come in sooner?

Really!?!?! Talk to your scheduler. When someone is in pain and their hand is very swollen, does he actually think we want to wait 7 weeks to get in to see a doctor?

Not impressed with Dr. Taylor.

Note to readers: The scheduling problems and lack of responsiveness to phone calls and texts at Nevada Orthopedic have been reported in many patient stories.
