Patient-249
No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient-249 went to Dr. Edward Ashman at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center. Patient was in horrible pain due to bilateral chronic ACL sprains and a torn/frayed meniscus. Dr. Ashman did NOTHING to help --- on the original visit nor when the patient was referred back to him 3 years later.
Her insurance company would NOT allow her to go anywhere else.

I saw Dr. Ashman (for pain in my leg and foot). He ran through my X-rays and MRIs like he was skimming through a magazine.
Then he looked at me and said, "What's the problem?"
Bilateral chronic ACL sprains and torn/frayed meniscus.
Apparently, that wasn't severe enough to waste his time. (He did nothing to help me.)
Fast forward 3 years.
Pain is worse, and my feet drag because I can't bend my knees. And I can't cross my legs. Sleeping through the night is nonexistent.
My primary care doctor sent me back to this place for a second opinion.
After a month or so of waiting for a reply, I receive a voicemail denying the second opinion.
I would love more than anything to go to a different place, but I can't because they are the only people my insurance covers.
Ridiculous amount to pay for insurance and can't get help!!
Note to readers: Reminder that Health Plan of Nevada forces all orthopedic patients to go to Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center and will give them no other options. Be careful which company you choose for your health insurance.
