No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital
Patient--147 with breast cancer went to Sunrise Hospital with shortness of breath. Had fluid drained from her lungs. Received poor medical care and very little attention from the nurses. Took them 3 days to fix the shower. Never gave her a menu. Received very little food, and the food was absolutely disgusting.
Patient-147 is a woman with breast cancer. She went to Sunrise Hospital with shortness of breath.
Here is the patient's story:
Went to Sunrise Hospital on the 6th with shortness of breath. I have stage 4 breast cancer.
Got admitted. Slept in a bed in the hallway for a good 24 hours.
Finally got a room.
Got the right lung drained on the 7th and the other one drained on the 8th.
Finally got my own room, and the nurses barely check on me.
After 3 days, they fixed the shower.
I was not given a menu for food. They just skip my room or give me whatever.
99% of the food is absolutely disgusting!!
When I do ask the nurse for food, they tell me to use the phone in the room and call the cafeteria. I don't have a phone in my room!!!
They look confused and say they will be back or they will tell the head nurse. Not one person comes back.
I will never come back to Sunrise Hospital.
