Patient-219

No Medical Care and None of His Prescription Medications for 8 days at Sunrise Hospital

Patient-219 went to Sunrise Hospital. Patient says they need to learn about food allergies and dietary restrictions. They also need to improve their discharge process and quality control over prescriptions and sending orders to the correct pharmacy. Physical therapy tried to force this patient to go to a nursing home even though it was NOT needed.

Someone has to educate these people, especially dietary, on food allergies and the Vegan diet.

I am allergic to all animal products, and I'm allergic to all bread --- and that includes gluten free bread. I told them more than once about my food allergies!!

Check-out time was a joke!! I am a wheelchair user, and instead of being smart and practical and checking people out in their room, these morons send patients to a place that's supposed to check out patients. However, I waited so long that my back started hurting. The check-out lady wanted to argue with me. I was in pain, so I told them to mail my discharge papers.

Then the idiots sent the medication they want me to take to the wrong pharmacy!!

They also use doctor who aren't covered by insurance at the hospital, so my insurance wasn't going to pay for my prescriptions because the prescribing doctors were not registered with my insurance.

The idiots also put in an order for an Insulin Pen, but I don't use an Insulin Pen and never have!!!

Also, Physical Therapy can stuff it, because I don't need to go to a nursing home!!!

I am home right now and DUH!!!!

I told these people that I am a wheelchair user, and I can't stand or walk for long periods!!

Note readers: There are many stories about patients being given food that was not safe or not edible. Read the story of Patient-220 to learn about a diabetic patient who was given food that was not safe for her.
